Overview

Maureen Hardwick provides strategic, legal and business advice to global pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies to advance regulatory, policy, scientific and research objectives. Her work with life science industry consortia facilitates the development of scientific knowledge, data-driven policies and innovation that support research and development of drugs and devices and advance patient health.

Consortia Management

Maureen delivers strategic and legal counsel to industry stakeholders to advance their objectives on an international scale, often working across the globe with multiple stakeholders to advance common scientific, regulatory and policy goals. She serves as secretariat and legal counsel for several international consortia and regularly engages with regulatory and governmental bodies, including U.S. Food and Drug Administration, European Medicines Agency, UK National Health Service, US Environmental Protection Agency, and Parties to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer. She also coordinates with influential stakeholders, including patient advocacy groups and trade associations.

In addition to her work in the health and life sciences fields, Maureen provides support and counsel to clients focused on compliance with U.S., EU and other national data privacy laws.

Personal Interests

A native Vermonter, Maureen is passionate about Nordic skiing and loves the rare snow day in Washington, D.C. She also enjoys baking, flower arranging, farm markets, hiking, reading, spin classes, yoga and relaxing on the weekends with her husband (John), daughter (Emerson) and two adorable cats (Miffy and Chance).
