Sentara Healthcare Transitions and Implements New PBM Contracts

Sentara Healthcare is a nonprofit health care organization serving customers primarily in Virginia and North Carolina that recently negotiated, executed and implemented multiple pharmacy benefit management (PBM) contracts for its health plan businesses across all lines, including commercial/exchange, Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) program, Medicare and Medicaid. Faegre Drinker’s representation of Sentara included PBM contract drafting and negotiations, health plan and PBM industry subject matter advice, and legal and regulatory counseling with respect to state and federal health plan, PBM and pharmacy benefit matters.
