National Brokerage Firm Prevails Against Improper Transfer Liability Claims

United States - New Jersey

A large national brokerage firm prevailed over claims that it was liable for improper account transfers when the court granted its motion for summary judgment and dismissed the plaintiff’s complaints with prejudice before trial. Faegre Drinker represented the brokerage firm in the long and hard-fought litigation, which centered around a complicated family dispute involving the estate of a deceased family member and another relative who held power of attorney over the decedent’s account at the brokerage firm.
