Manufacturing Company Prevails in Age and Disability Discrimination Lawsuit

United States - Iowa

A manufacturing company was granted complete summary judgment in a lawsuit brought by a plaintiff who was terminated in a nationwide reduction in force. The plaintiff, who was on disability leave at the time, sued, claiming his discharge was due to age and disability discrimination and his selection in the plant layoff was pretext for this discrimination. Our firm represented the manufacturing company in the matter.

In March of 2020, the Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa granted complete summary judgment in favor of the manufacturing company.
