Breach of Contract and Fraudulent Inducement to Contract Claims Against Minnesota Employer Thrown Out

North America - United States | North America | United States - Minnesota

The Minnesota Court of Appeals affirmed a decision by a Minnesota District Court to throw out breach of contract and fraudulent inducement to contract claims seeking $1.5 million in damages against a Minnesota employer. Our firm's attorneys represented the employer in the matter.

The employer was sued by a former employee who claimed that after he moved across the country to accept a position as the president of the company, he believed the company’s reputation in the community was not as represented by the company during the hiring process.

The complaint was dismissed with prejudice for failing to state a claim and for failing to identify any provision of the contract that had been breached.
