Overview

Alex Werndli supports clients navigating the complexities of construction matters. He negotiates agreements between owners, contractors, and architects — then holds parties to their agreements when disputes arise.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining the firm, Alex worked for Faegre Drinker as a summer associate, performing legal research for the construction and real estate litigation team, drafting pleadings and discovery motions, and reviewing contracts. He also clerked for Land O’ Lakes, Inc., a farmer-owned cooperative, performing legal research across agricultural industries and negotiating contracts.

During law school, Alex served as a managing editor of the Minnesota Law Review, treasurer for the Asylum Law Project, and secretary of the Muslim Law Student Association. He also competed with the university’s environmental law moot court team and worked as a student instructor in its legal research and writing program.

Before law school, Alex taught rhetoric, composition, and professional writing at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco. His research has appeared in peer reviewed journals and international conferences. His background in pedagogy, research, and writing gives Alex the skills and experience to evaluate complex problems and provide streamlined client service.

Personal Interests

Outside the office, Alex enjoys biking, swimming, and hiking. He savors buying produce and cooking it with his family, and he loves a good game.
