Overview

Linda Wang counsels clients on public company reporting, securities regulation, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. She connects with clients and their businesses to best understand what they need. Linda approaches legal work with an emphasis on precision, efficiency, and practical problem-solving — paying attention not only to the technical legal answer, but also to how that answer will work in practice.

Corporate & Securities Law

Linda helps public companies navigate SEC disclosure requirements, proxy matters, shareholder proposals, governance questions, and other ongoing compliance obligations. This includes preparing and reviewing proxy statements and other periodic filings such as 10-K, 10-Q, S-8, and 8-K, as well as research on disclosure and regulatory requirements in regard to drafting responses to shareholder proposals or other necessary filings.

She also works on mergers and acquisitions, including conducting and leading due diligence efforts on large transactions and assisting with drafting and revising transaction documents. In addition, Linda drafts governance and formation documents for nonprofit organizations, including certificates of incorporation, bylaws, and board resolutions.

Pro Bono

Linda is deeply committed to pro bono service, particularly immigration and estate planning matters, and to expanding access to educational and professional opportunities. Throughout her life, she has been involved in initiatives supporting low-income families, students, and individuals from underrepresented backgrounds. In law school, she continued this commitment by serving as a diversity mentor to incoming law students and supporting them as they adjusted to the academic and professional demands of law school; for this work, Linda received the school's Inclusive Excellence Award. Now, Linda serves as a mentor through The Law School Mentor program. These experiences have reinforced her belief that meaningful mentorship and advocacy can have a lasting impact on a person's opportunities and sense of belonging.

Prior Experience

Before joining Faegre Drinker, Linda served the firm as a summer associate in real estate, corporate, and labor and employment law, and served as a judicial intern for a magistrate judge in the US District Court for the District of Colorado. She also participated in the Animal Activist Legal Defense Project in Denver, Colorado, where she helped represent wrongfully convicted individuals in constitutional law matters, with a particular focus on First Amendment rights.

Personal Interests

In her free time, Linda enjoys traveling, exploring New York, and trying new restaurants. She particularly loves hosting dinner parties and girls' nights that bring people together through thoughtful themes, good food, and any crafts or bonding experiences that make the times memorable.
