Overview
Sabrina Vera advises insurance companies and other industry stakeholders to advance their business objectives through policy, regulatory, and litigation support. She is actively involved in regulatory projects and insurance-related litigation. In addition to her insurance work, Sabrina has contributed to pro bono matters, including researching asylum law and drafting administrative briefing for clients seeking protection from persecution.
Prior Experience
Prior to joining the firm, Sabrina gained extensive experience across the legal spectrum, with a particular focus on advocacy and transactional support. She served as a summer associate with the firm in 2023 and 2024 and supported tech transactions, patent prosecution, and pro bono initiatives to support veterans. During her time with the Institute for Justice Clinic on Entrepreneurship at The University of Chicago, Sabrina advised unrepresented entrepreneurs on business formation, compliance, and USPTO trademark applications. Her background is further distinguished by a commitment to disability rights and global education, including serving as an advisor at the Moses Center for Disability, the managing editor for the Hundred River Review and a senior writing fellow at NYU Shanghai.
Personal Interests
Outside of the office, Sabrina enjoys Pilates, reading mystery novels, practicing her Mandarin, collecting Lord of the Rings memorabilia, and enjoying a good meal with friends and family.
