Overview
Jessica Taekman supports the intellectual property team and clients in the prosecution and maintenance of domestic and international trademark portfolios. She assists with filing of trademark applications, office action responses and other related prosecution filings. Additionally, she prepares declarations of use, renewal applications, assists with opposition filings and review of watch notices. Jessica communicates and coordinates with clients on the maintenance of their trademarks and monitors foreign law firms managing client’s international trademarks.
She primarily assists clients in the retail, food, pharmaceutical and entertainment industries, as well as nonprofit organizations.
Prior Experience
Jessica previously worked as a paralegal with Faegre Drinker’s products liability team for nearly 20 years. She specialized in the management of access-based case administration databases for several large-scale litigations, specifically in pharmaceutical and medical device liability defense.
Personal Interests
Stand up paddling in the bay, all things outdoors, all things culinary — both cooking and consuming.
