Overview
Allison identifies and supports pro bono opportunities, practice areas and projects; oversees the firm’s sponsorships and charitable support for pro bono and legal aid organizations; and develops corporate partnerships.
Prior Pro Bono Experience
Previously, Allison served as senior corporate counsel in employment law and co-leader of the pro bono efforts of Pfizer’s 600-person legal division, where she also led a 30-member pro bono committee and managed a charitable giving budget of approximately $1 million. In four years, Allison increased participation from 60 colleagues and 675 hours of pro bono service to 225 colleagues and 3,000 hours of service. Under her guidance, Pfizer expanded program offerings to include domestic violence, conviction relief, restoration of rights, transgender rights and other practice areas. In partnership with outside counsel, she also created a training program in Grenada to enhance the skills of police officers, prosecutors and case workers in investigating and addressing gender-based crimes.
Allison started her career as a Federal Court of Appeals clerk before moving to the Chicago office of one of the United States’ largest law firms. She is an experienced litigator, outside counsel, in-house employment counsel and HR executive with deep substantive knowledge of wage-hour compliance, leaves of absence, requests for accommodation, unfair competition claims, retaliation and harassment. She has also conducted training sessions on a wide variety of topics.
Personal Interests
In her free time, Allison enjoys practicing yoga, cooking, reading, biking/walking along Chicago’s lakefront, and spending time with her family and two dogs.

Pro Bono
Allison has deep and varied pro bono experience. She has taught legal writing to law students at the University of Zambia. She has also represented clients seeking release from detention through the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network; represented clients seeking pardons through the Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity; and advised victims of domestic violence through the DC Volunteer Lawyers Project.
