David H. Jiang
Associate
Overview
David Jiang counsels clients in litigation and dispute resolution.
Prior Experience
Before joining the firm, David gained experience in litigation, public policy and health law through academic, government and research roles. While at Stanford Law School, he served as a teaching assistant for First Amendment. He was a research assistant to Professors Diego Zambrano and Michelle M. Mello, contributing to legislative analysis on civil procedure and research on state public health powers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prior to law school, David was a health policy researcher at Mayo Clinic, where he focused on pandemic response, health disparities and regulation of artificial intelligence in medicine. Because of that work, David was appointed by the governor of Minnesota as a public member of the Minnesota Board of Nursing, where he helped shape regulatory and legislative reforms to nursing practice and participated in disciplinary hearings.
Outside of law, David co-founded Oraculi, a mentorship organization connecting students from underrepresented backgrounds with professional mentors in STEM, for which he received the City of Rochester’s Mayor’s Medal of Honor for Community Service.
Personal Interests
Outside of the office, David is an amateur cellist, chef and pickleballer. He plays a 1949 Wilhem Bruckner cello from Erfurt, Germany and an Andreas Dörfler bow. A devoted fan of The West Wing, David proudly identifies as a Jed Bartlet enthusiast.
