Overview

Alec Hubbard counsels clients in litigation and dispute resolution.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining the firm, Alec worked for Faegre Drinker as a summer associate, where he researched and drafted memoranda involving multistate product liability, arbitration, federal airspace regulations, judicial estoppel in foreclosure proceedings, and Medicare fraud statutes. He also assisted with preparation for oral argument before the Colorado Court of Appeals, researching supporting cases, drafting arguments and counterarguments, and preparing oral argument questions.

During law school, Alec represented clients through the University of Chicago Law School’s Federal Criminal Justice Clinic. His work included researching and drafting memoranda and briefs addressing conditions of release, constitutional challenges to firearm sentencing enhancements, and safety valve proffer requirements.

Before law school, Alec served in the US Air Force in operations management and executive support roles. His experience included coordinating with European governments to establish an airfield and supply base for NATO operations. His extensive research experience and background managing large teams in the Air Force allows Alec to counsel clients navigating complex problems with equanimity and confidence.

Personal Interests

Outside of the office, Alec enjoys traveling and spending time outside whenever possible. During the summer you’ll find him hiking a mountain and then finding a local brewery, and during winter he enjoys skiing. Alec also enjoys staying active with Crossfit and swimming and spending time with his husband and dog.
