Claire A. Eichhorn

Prior Experience

Prior to joining the firm, Claire served as a law clerk to the Honorable Donovan W. Frank of the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. In that role, she assisted the court with multiple complex civil and criminal trials. Earlier, Claire externed for now-retired US Magistrate Judge Becky R. Thorson of the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota.

During law school, Claire gained experience in both public service and academic settings. As an intern with the Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division, Disability Rights Section, she drafted memoranda on issues arising under the Americans with Disabilities Act, evaluated complaints for potential enforcement action, and assisted with investigations. Claire also served as a research assistant to Associate Dean Adrien Wing at the University of Iowa College of Law, supporting Dean Wing’s scholarship and designing programming focused on global engagement and human rights.

Before law school, Claire worked as a legal research associate with Thomson Reuters' Westlaw Court Express team. As a legal research associate, Claire partnered with courts nationwide to locate cases and obtain court records for law firm and government clients. This combination of judicial, public-sector, academic, and legal research experience has provided her with a strong foundation in legal analysis, persuasive writing, and problem-solving.

Personal Interests

Outside of the office, Claire loves to both cook and bake— some of her go-to recipes include Melissa Clark’s turkey meatballs, chicken enchilada soup, and banana bread. She also enjoys Pilates, long walks along Minnehaha Creek, and playing board games with her family.
