Overview

Brandon Burkhardt assists clients with complex labor and employment regulations and disputes.

Prior Experience

Brandon has developed a strong foundation in litigation and legal research through a range of experiences in both private practice and the federal judiciary. He has supported attorneys across several practice areas, including professional liability, employment, products liability and insurance litigation — drafting pleadings, discovery responses and client communications, as well as preparing memoranda on complex legal issues. Brandon has also assisted in mediations and settlement conferences, gaining practical insight into case strategy and dispute resolution.

Earlier in his career, Brandon served as a judicial intern for the Honorable David R. Strawbridge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, where he conducted legal research, prepared reports and recommendations on habeas corpus petitions, and supported settlement proceedings. Beyond his legal experience, Brandon spent several years coaching competitive rowing, where he trained student-athletes and developed team programs — an experience that reflects his leadership, discipline and commitment to collaboration.

Brandon served as a summer associate with the firm in 2024.

Personal Interests

During his undergraduate studies, Brandon was a member of the Michigan Men’s Rowing team, where he served as president and vice president and earned multiple honors, including ACRA All-American and Academic All-American distinctions. Outside of the office, Brandon enjoys staying connected to his rowing roots by coxing alumni events. He also enjoys, golfing, cooking and traveling, and is an avid Philadelphia sports fan.
