Professional Experience

National Security & Public Service

Matt brings a lifelong dedication to service and a valuable diverse background to the firm. He has wide-ranging experience in national security, strategic communication, advocacy and public affairs. As an associate under the national security sector at Booz Allen Hamilton, he served as an operations chief and information operations planner on a counter adversary team supporting U.S. Cyber Command.

Matt is a decorated combat veteran, having served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. He has extensive experience in special operations, intelligence and information advantage. He deployed overseas in the Middle East and Europe as part of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Inherent Resolve and Operation Atlantic Resolve.   

This military background provides a strong foundation for his current role in government relations and consulting, where he advises clients navigating complex policy, communications and interagency environments. His work in civil-military and influence operations, international relations and diplomacy directly supports strategic engagement and stakeholder coordination efforts.

Prior to this, Matt spent several years as a professional fire fighter and medic for a busy city department, responding to thousands of complex emergencies and leading federal grant, education and fundraising initiatives.

Government, Policy & Communications

Earlier in his career, Matt held roles in government, politics and communications. He managed public affairs for Kinder Morgan, overseeing outreach, lobbying and stakeholder engagement on major energy projects for the Fortune 500 company nationwide. He was also a Congressional staffer and campaign political director for former U.S. Congresswoman Elizabeth Esty.

Personal Interests

Matt is an avid Red Sox, art and music fan who likes to cook and stay active.

Matt is passionate about service, having volunteered overseas as a medic treating refugees from the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria, and at home on numerous nonprofit boards, coaching baseball and fundraising for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and other causes.
