What Should Be a Lawyer’s Role in the Rule of Law?
The Indiana Lawyer
In the article “What Should Be a Lawyer’s Role in the Rule of Law?” Indianapolis associates Molly Madden and Cassidy Segura Clouse explained how the Indianapolis Bar Association’s (IndyBar) new Rule of Law Initiative is working to help attorneys meet their ethical and social obligations to their communities.
The authors note that that initiative’s aim is to “to make the Rule of Law ever-present, relevant and accessible to both legal professionals and the public” through public service and pro bono work. In coordination with the Indiana ACLU, the group plans to hosts educational events on Constitution Day, Sept. 17, with a schedule of CLEs and other opportunities for lawyers, students and the public to learn more about the Rule of Law.
Clouse and Madden encouraged those interested in getting involved by following @ACLUIndiana, checking the IndyBar Constitution Day website for event updates or emailing Julie Armstrong at jarmstrong@indybar.org.
