Jake Kramer Discusses 2025 Antitrust Enforcement with Law360

In an article for Law360, business litigation partner Jake Kramer commented on a key antitrust conduct case pursued by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in 2025.

The FTC's Illinois federal court complaint accused John Deere of monopolizing the market for repairing its tractors and forcing farmers who rely on its agricultural equipment to use only authorized dealers for repairs through a software diagnostic tool that only the dealers have access to.

"This is probably the preeminent case out there in the federal courts advancing right to repair principles," Kramer said, referring to the Deere case, which has seen no sign of resolution from the FTC.
