In the article “Wicked Problems and the People Who Work to Solve Them,” associates Molly Madden and Cassidy Segura Clouse share initiatives led by the Indiana Justice Project (IJP) to help address “wicked problems” facing Hoosiers such as health, housing and food insecurity.
“Two primary social determinants of health are housing and food,” the co-authors assert. They provide an overview of IJP’s advocacy efforts, which include offering free trainings and resources to non-profit organizations, businesses and communities. Madden and Clouse also highlight the organization’s recent triumph stating, “Just this year, IJP's policy advocacy efforts were met with success when Indiana amended its eviction record sealing law to allow automatic sealing in some circumstances.”
