Jim Birge Speaks With Indianapolis Business Journal About the Slow Down of SPACs

In “SPACs Lose Their Spark With Deals Hard To Find,” Indianapolis Business Journal (IBJ) reported on the cooldown of the SPAC boom and the Securities and Exchange Commission’s efforts in proposing new rules to make special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs) disclose much more information, including conflicts of interest and sponsor compensation, which SPACs are not currently required to disclose. The publication spoke to corporate partner Jim Birge for his insight on the cool down of SPACs.

“My sense is, SPAC sponsors are not aggressively pursuing more investment,” said Birge. “They see a real chill.”
