Ken Dort Quoted in Health Tech Magazine on AI Automation in Health Data Security

Chicago partner Ken Dort was quoted in a Health Tech Magazine article titled “Where Does AI Automation Fit into Health Data Security?” This piece takes a look at the findings from a recent study about health care IT security and the pros and cons of AI automation as it relates to health data security.

When asked for his opinion on the idea of installing AI as a bodyguard for IT security Ken said, “It’s an interesting idea in concept, but putting it into practice is a little bit dicey. It’s comparable to autonomous cars. Yeah, the idea works really well, but do you want to be the guy in the car on the highway going 70 miles per hour with no one in the front seat?” He added, “What is to keep the AI piece from itself being compromised in some kind of quasi-social-engineering effect? Given the squishiness of cybersecurity and how it morphs and changes all the time, I’m not sure AI would be up to that challenge.”
