Marc Leaf Quoted by The New York Times and CNN About the Elon Musk and SEC Agreement

New York Corporate and Securities partner Marc Leaf was quoted by The New York Times and CNN in articles about an agreement between Tesla CEO Elon Musk and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

In The New York Times article entitled “Elon Musk and S.E.C. Reach New Accord, Lifting Cloud Over Tesla” Marc weighed in on the revised list of things that Musk can’t discuss on Twitter without first seeking an attorney’s approval. He said, “It recognizes that investors are smart enough to distinguish between tweets that contain material information regarding the company and its securities, on the one hand, and ‘Elon being Elon,’ on the other.”

Marc’s take on the revised settlement agreement was also highlighted in a CNN article entitled “Elon Musk and SEC reach an agreement over tweeting.”
