SUPPORT Act: One Year Later

Tracking Progress and Barriers to Implementation

Libby Baney, Jeffrey Ekoma, Beena Patel, Matthew Rubin and Sarah-Lloyd Stevenson co-authored an article for Innovations, a National Association of Boards of Pharmacy newsletter. The article focuses on wide-reaching policies within the Substance Use-Disorder Prevention that Promotes Opioid Recovery and Treatment for Patients and Communities Act (SUPPORT Act, or HR 6). While many of the transformative policies will take years to fully implement, the SUPPORT Act's provisions may be of interest to state boards of pharmacy.
