Brad Dempsey Talks to Daily Camera on Hopes to Bring Skiing to Pikes Peak

After nearly three decades of no skiing on Pikes Peak, recent efforts have made to bring skiing back to the iconic mountain, which is located west of Colorado Springs, Colorado. After climbing legend Harvey Carter, and Boulder County telecommunications executive, John Ball discussed partnering on a ski resort development, Ball established an LLC named The Resort at Pikes Peak. With the goal of raising $50 million, he developed a business plan to spark interest of investors. In an interview with the Daily Camera, Brad Dempsey explained what Ball's company will face after filing for Chapter 11 protection last month. After reviewing the bankruptcy court documents, Dempsey commented, "Since this was filed on the eve of foreclosure, I would suspect their current lender is not a viable resource for debtor-in-possession funding."
