The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) is the first significant update and expansion of the Food and Drug Administration's food safety regulatory powers in approximately 70 years. Since the new regulations apply not only to human foods but also to animal and pet food products, they have considerable impact on the feed and grain industries.
