Sherman and Mack Bring Legal Advice to Homeless Veterans

In an article discussing local bar association initiatives to deliver free legal advice to veterans, Law Week Colorado notes the 21st Annual Veterans Stand Down at the Colorado National Guard's Denver Armory, where thousands of homeless veterans received free clothing, medical supplies, food, haircuts, and legal advice.

Among the volunteer attorneys on hand was Jeff Sherman, who, using his background as a JAG officer, was able to help a former sailor, discharged under the recently repealed "Don't ask, don't tell" policy, to correct his military records and reenlist.

"Some people just want to talk about their problems, because they have no one else to talk to," said RoxAnn Mack, who also volunteered at the event.
