Minnesota Weekly Legislative Update: 01/29/2010

The Minnesota Legislature will reconvene on February 4 at noon.

House and Senate members have already been meeting in committees to discuss capital investment project proposals. And speedy passage of the state's bonding bill—which includes such proposals—is expected by many to happen early in session. In addition to bonding requests, the Governor and the Legislature are charged with resolving a $1.2 billion budget deficit for 2010.
