Finalizing Your First Annual Compliance Review

A registered investment adviser must complete its first annual compliance review within eighteen months of its adoption of the compliance policies and procedures required by Rule 206(4)-7 under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.  This article covers the basic requirements of the review process and provides guidance for registered investment advisers in compiling their first annual compliance policy and procedures reviews.
