Unclaimed Property: Responding to Regulators and Plaintiffs

Philadelphia Partner Stephen Serfass, along with Kathleen Moyer from Moyer & Osibodu Unclaimed Property Consulting, presented at the Unclaimed Property Reporting Seminar in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on February 23, 2012.  The seminar provided an overview of unclaimed property reporting obligations, the asymmetrical use of the death master file by insurers, and strategies for holders of unclaimed property in responding to audits, multi-state examinations, and civil complaints.
