Hiring the Best Candidate: Do’s and Don’ts in the Interview

On October 9, 2014 Pascal presented a seminar on Hiring the Best Candidate: Do’s and Don’ts in the Interview for the North American Home Furnishings Association (NAHFA), as part of the NAHFA’s Retailer Webinar Series. Pascal’s best practices seminar provided specific tips concerning the hiring process, including: recent trends in the “Ban the Box” legislation, actual job postings, job applications, job assessments, proper interviewing, questions interviewers can and cannot ask, the use of social medial in the hiring process and screening candidates legally. The NAHFA is the nation’s largest organization devoted specifically to the needs and interests of home furnishings retailers.
