Overview

San Francisco partner Cheryl Orr will lead a discussion on Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policies and practices on Friday, March 22.

The Advanced Practical Skills briefing, titled, “Bring Your Own Device Policies for the Workplace,” will deal with the relatively new phenomena of employees using their own smartphones and tablets in the workplace which can create safety, security, privacy and wage & hour concerns.

Cheryl will be joined by Harvey Jang, Director, Privacy and Information Management at Hewlett Packard Company and Paola Zeni, Director, Global Privacy Legal and Public Affairs at Symantec Corporation. They will discuss what’s behind the growth in BYOD, various policy implementation scenarios, information governance, security issue spotting, privacy concerns and wage and hour implications.
