On September 19, 2022, Faegre Drinker Senior Counsel Janet Fries led a virtual program discussion, presented by the Washington Sculptors Group, entitled “Everything you Wanted to know about Art and the Law with Janet Fries, Part II.” Janet’s presentation, intended as practical answers for artists at all stages of their careers, included in-depth discussion of issues involving contract negotiation and preparation, website review, copyright and trademark protection, and enforcement. Attendees came away with a better understanding about what the law allows in order to protect themselves and their creative property.
