ATA EDGE2022 Policy Conference

Washington, DC

Overview

Four Faegre Drinker colleagues are participating in the American Telemedicine Association’s EDGE2022 Policy Conference, which is focused on the latest in state, federal and international telehealth policies.

Director Megan Herber is participating in a panel discussion titled “ATA State and Federal Policy Updates and a Look Forward.” Megan and her fellow panelists will discuss the current landscape of the industry and implications to State and Federal telehealth policy. They’ll also explore what’s next for policy: including accomplishments that have been made, looking toward 2023, challenges around the corner for interoperability, hospital at home and more.

Partner Libby Baney’s panel, “Reproductive Health and Implications to Telehealth Policy,” will discuss the overturning of Roe v. Wade and the potential ramifications in driving State and Federal telehealth policy.

Manager Nisha Quasba will join panelists for the “Policy Considerations for Hospital at Home” session, where speakers from leading delivery systems will unravel the liabilities associated with virtual care in the hospital at home and hybrid care settings.

Director Elliot Vice’s panel, “Safe Access to Treatment: Ryan Haight Act at a Crossroads,” will explore the latest developments in increasing access to critical care to combat spikes in the need for mental health and substance use treatment.
