ACI’s 32nd National Forum on Wage & Hour Claims and Class Actions

Overview

San Francisco partner Cheryl Orr will co-chair ACI’s 32nd National Forum on Wage & Hour Claims and Class Actions, which will take place in New York City from June 24-25. The forum will bring senior government officials, judges, defense counsel and in-house executives to discuss the latest developments in wage-and-hour law.

Selected topics will include current wage-and-hour claims trends; a New York and California status report; PAGA litigation; how practitioners are navigating changes to Rule 23; and the biggest misunderstandings about arbitration clauses post-Epic Systems.

Cheryl will moderate a panel titled “What’s Keeping Industry Up at Night? In-House Counsel Discuss the Most Pressing Issues Posed by New, Evolving State and Municipal Requirements.” Panelists will include Keith Chapman of Postmates, Richard Heller of Legal Sea Foods, and John Hamlin of Marsh & McLennan Companies.

Cheryl and fellow co-chair A. Craig Cleland of Ogletree Deakins LLP will also provide the opening remarks for both days of the conference. Drinker Biddle will host a cocktail reception to conclude the first day of the forum. Labor and Employment attorneys Daniel Aiken, Lynne Anderson, William Horwitz, and Irene Rizzi will also attend the conference.
