The integration of company benefit plans and compensation arrangements in connection with a corporate transaction can be a source of both headaches and opportunities. In this presentation, we discussed how to identify and address benefit plan issues before closing, and how to overcome the post-deal legal challenges that result from bringing together a variety of benefit plans.
In particular, we discussed the issues companies are likely to face when integrating the following types of benefit plans:
- Qualified retirement/401(k) plans
- Executive compensation plans
- Health and welfare plans
