Los Angeles partner Summer Conley spoke at the 2017 Western Benefits Conference on July 10. Summer and Renée O’Rourke of Greenberg Traurig presented “The Alphabet of Regulatory Investigations of Health and Welfare Plans.”
The presentation covered DOL audits of health and welfare plans, HIPAA audits, fiduciary governance, and fee and expense considerations. Specific topics included the Office of Civil Rights Phase 2 audits, HIPAA privacy compliance, and updating health/welfare plan governance structures.
