ACI's 30th National Forum on Wage & Hour Claims & Class Actions

Overview

San Francisco partner Cheryl Orr co-chaired and spoke at ACI’s 30th National Forum on Wage & Hour Claims & Class Actions in New York on June 12. The two-day event brought together senior in-house counsel, federal and state judges, top government officials, and leading outside defense counsel to discuss the latest developments in wage & hour law.

Cheryl and her co-chairs, Lee Schreter of Littler Menderlson and Martin Wymer of BakerHostetler, provided the conference’s opening remarks. Cheryl also moderated the first in-house roundtable, which discussed updating company wage & hour policies under the new administration, conducting internal wage & hour audits, new and emerging areas of risk, and compliance strategies and pitfalls to avoid.

Other topics included the new Secretary of Labor’s latest initiatives, the new DOL overtime rules, effective strategies for equal pay litigation, proven strategies for litigating misclassification claims, recent trends in wage & hour class & collective actions, and the latest regulatory and enforcement claims. The firm also hosted a cocktail reception following the first day of the conference.
