Current Legal Developments in Art and Antiquities

Washington, D.C., of counsel Janet Fries recently spoke at the Visual Arts & the Law Conference in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in a session titled, “Current Legal Developments in Art and Antiquities.” Janet reviewed recent decisions in art law and discussed cases and issues relating to fair use, the Visual Artists Rights Acts (VARA), authentication and restitution.
