Cheryl Orr, Partner and Co-Chair of the Labor & Employment Group, was co-chair of the American Conference Institute’s 27th National Forum on Wage & Hour Claims and Class Actions, held June 2 & 3, 2016, at Andaz Wall Street, in New York, NY.
This two-day conference brought together senior in-house counsel and top law firm litigators, along with federal and state judges, to discuss the latest developments on wage & hour law, including the implications of white-collar exemption overtime regulations, consequences of the DOL guidance on independent contractor misclassification, ensuring compliance with new pay equity laws, settlement hurdles in wage and hour cases, and more.
Cheryl also moderated a panel, "In-House Insights on New and Emerging Areas of Risk in the Wage & Hour Landscape; Responding to Enhanced Enforcement Initiatives; Compliance Strategies; Selecting and Retaining Law Firms; Internal Audit Assessment; Managing Complex Litigation; and More."
