Current Developments in Medical Devices Law

Drinker Biddle invites you to a seminar on medical device law hosted by World Law Group partner-firm, Taylor Wessing, in its Frankfurt, Germany office. The European Union has yet to adopt its proposed Regulation on Medical Devices, which has been the subject of considerable debate.

This seminar will discuss the current legislative process and how the EU is planning to tighten control over the medical devices industry. Additional topics include the legal side of medical software and apps from the European and US perspectives, including a look into data protection issues that are increasingly important for innovative medical products and software solutions. The seminar will also include a session presented by Drinker Biddle on US enforcement actions against medical device companies. An analysis of the evident contradiction between the calls for transparency of clinical data and the interests in protecting commercial information will end the seminar.
