Colorado Collaborative Construction: Ways to Work Together to Decrease Risk and Increase Reward

Denver, CO

Overview

Traditional construction procurement, contracting, and project delivery are often described as fragmented and adversarial. But in recent years, innovators in the construction industry have experimented with creative collaborative processes in an effort to increase productivity and lower risks.

At this year's Construction Law Seminar, Faegre Baker Daniels construction lawyers will be joined by industry leaders to discuss ways in which project participants can collaborate to complete successful construction projects.

The half-day seminar — "Collaborative Construction: Ways to Work Together to Decrease Risks and Increase Rewards" — will feature presentations with helpful information and insightful dialogue important to you and your business. Topics will include:

  • Integrated Project Delivery
  • Collaboration in Bankruptcy Proceedings related to Construction
  • OCIPs and CCIPs
  • Collaboration in Legal and Contractual Risk Allocation for Construction Projects
  • Collaboration in Responding to Construction Defects
  • Recent Developments in Construction Law

The seminar also will allow you to mingle, network and market with contractors, subcontractors, designers, owners, service providers, legal experts and others. Seminar handouts will contain the annual Construction Review, a national publication summarizing significant construction cases from across the country in 2011.
