Los Angeles partner Pascal Benyamini provided the first of several online instructional videos for the Insurance Educational Association on August 6.
With Pascal's assistance, the IEA is launching an entire training program devoted to employers and their management.
The topic of Pascal's first instructional video was “Misclassification of Independent Contractors.”
As part of the video, employers will learn what different factors are used by different agencies in determining whether a worker is correctly classified as an independent contractor, how to properly classify workers as independent contractors, and what liabilities employers may face if they misclassify workers as independent contractors.
