Faegre Drinker today announced a series of investments to support innovation and client service. The firm has launched new strategic partnerships, including deploying Harvey firmwide, expanded its AI training programs, and added experienced leaders to guide this work across the firm. These initiatives build on Faegre Drinker’s legacy of innovation and further position the firm to deliver client-focused solutions.
Strategic Partnerships
Faegre Drinker has deployed Harvey, a leading AI platform for legal and professional services, on an enterprise-wide basis. Harvey enhances workflows related to contract analysis, due diligence, compliance, and litigation, driving greater efficiency and value.
The firm has also rolled out Microsoft Copilot to all lawyers, consulting professionals, and staff. Copilot can boost productivity and streamline workflows by offering contextual assistance, automating routine tasks, and analyzing data.
The integration of Harvey and Copilot creates new opportunities to serve clients more effectively by improving quality and freeing up time for judgment, strategy, and building client relationships.
“Innovation drives better client service. These investments give us new tools to solve complex problems, anticipate client needs, and provide excellent service. Used with judgment and care, they will help us deliver better results for our clients and strengthen our firm,” said Gina Kastel, Firm Chair.
Training and Governance
The deployment of these AI tools is supported by Faegre Drinker’s comprehensive and mandatory firmwide AI training program, designed to help attorneys and staff use generative AI effectively and responsibly. The training is practical and role-based, with plans for ongoing sessions, updated guidance, and examples tailored to specific roles and practice areas.
To support responsible AI adoption, the firm is reinforcing its governance framework and providing ethics training to help professionals use these technologies with confidence and integrity. The firm is committed to providing dedicated time for training so everyone can succeed, use AI with judgment and care, and enhance the firm’s services and efficiency.
These new programs broaden the firm’s existing AI training offerings. Faegre Drinker’s Legal Design Lab in Scottsdale, Arizona, also provides AI training programs, including interactive, attorney-led “Lightning Labs.” The Design Lab invites clients for full-day training experiences focused on practical and innovative learning.
“It’s an exciting time to deploy these new technologies. Our investments in leadership, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration are building a strong foundation to drive operational excellence and enhance client value,” said Nolan Kurtz, Chief Operating Officer.
Expanded Leadership
The innovation program launch builds upon Faegre Drinker’s recent leadership hires, including Chief Technology and Innovation Officer Scott Angelo. Angelo joined in November 2025 and leads the firm’s technology strategy, oversees its security and infrastructure operations, and drives innovation to enhance client and business outcomes.
“Faegre Drinker’s investments in technology reflect our vision for the future. By embracing advanced AI tools and expanding training, we’re creating an environment where new ideas flourish and solutions are tailored for maximum impact, both for our clients and our colleagues,” said Scott Angelo, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer.
These investments reflect Faegre Drinker’s continued focus on client service and innovation. The firm will continue to expand its innovation initiatives and leverage new technologies to enhance value and deliver high-quality service.
