Monica Fennell Honored With Indiana Bar Foundation’s 2026 Champion of Civil Legal Assistance Award

Senior pro bono counsel Monica Fennell has been recognized by the Indiana Bar Foundation as the 2026 Champion of Civil Legal Assistance Award honoree.

The award recognizes an individual who “inspires and leads change to improve civil legal assistance for all Hoosiers.”

Fennell leads Faegre Drinker’s pro bono initiatives in the Indiana, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania offices, as well as select firmwide initiatives. She develops and manages opportunities for the firm’s attorneys to volunteer their professional skills to address the unmet legal needs of people who are disadvantaged and underserved.

The recognition highlighted Fennell’s dedication to expanding access to justice through pro bono service, including her multistate initiatives, service with the Coalition for Court Access, and previous leadership as Executive Director of the Indiana Pro Bono Commission.

Fennell will be honored at the 2026 Annual Meeting & Awards Luncheon on June 26, 2026.
