by Global Restructuring Review

Global Restructuring Review (GRR) has named Faegre Drinker as one of the world’s leading law firms for cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters in the “GRR 100” 2022. Faegre Drinker was listed at number 17 on the “GRR 30” 2022 list, the publication’s ranking of the 30 standout firms in the “GRR 100.” Now in its sixth edition, the “GRR 100” 2022 features firms from 38 jurisdictions, the most comprehensively compiled edition yet.

The publication highlighted the firm’s new hires Scott Gautier, Susan Moore and Richard Bernard and the promotions of Wayne Beck and Buvini Kularatne, Ian Bambrick and Mike Gustafson to partners. The publication also highlighted some of the firm’s top cases including advising Bank of America, subsidiaries of Regus and IWG, UMB Bank and Greensill.

Faegre Drinker’s profile also included client feedback. “I view them as a highly trusted advisor and a key extension of our in-house legal department,” said one client. “I would definitely recommend this team to other similarly situated clients.”

Another client highlighted Corr, transnational co-head of the restructuring & insolvency team, saying he is a “very experienced restructuring lawyer, unfazed by ambiguity or complexity, always willing to share views to develop the conversation.”

The “GRR 100” 2022 is the product of several months of extensive research and writing, including detailed questionnaires sent to hundreds of law firms around the world that seek input on the history of each firm’s restructuring and insolvency practice, its notable past cases, its key names to know and any other characteristics worth highlighting, as well as soliciting feedback from clients of the law firms
