Minnesota Lawyer Recognizes B.J. Nodzon as a POWER 30 Attorney in Real Estate and Construction Law

Construction and real estate litigation partner B.J. Nodzon was named to Minnesota Lawyer’s inaugural “The POWER 30: Real Estate and Construction Law” list, which focuses on those whose mere presence on a case signifies the stakes, who have influenced the direction of the law, whose leadership in the community is pervasive and whose respect within the bar is undeniable.

To select honorees, Minnesota Lawyer interviewed respected attorneys and other leaders around the state, reviewed outcomes of myriad significant cases handled by these and other attorneys, and consulted the publication’s archives to highlight people whose achievements and influence are recognized as powerful real estate and construction attorneys in Minnesota.

In his practice at Faegre Drinker, Nodzon drafts and negotiates billions of dollars’ worth of construction, design, automation, supply chain and procurement contracts. He represents project owners, developers, contractors, engineers and designers in connection with some of the most significant projects throughout the country. Nodzon also helps clients manage and evaluate risks and assists clients in resolving disputes.

In an interview with Minnesota Lawyer, Nodzon discussed his work on supply chains and tools, automation and robotics. He assists clients with contracts that would affect their businesses, including parts and installation of automation and robotics tools. Nodzon emphasized the need for these services and described recent challenges.

Nodzon also noted that companies had found ways to manage delays, address those concerns in contracts and resolve issues without litigation by working together to find business solutions to pricing and timing. Further, Nodzon commented on the impact of the eviction moratorium on housing court and how the pandemic accelerated problems between tenants and landlords.
