Sandy Grannum Noted among the Network Journal’s Annual 25 Influential Black Women
Florham Park partner Sandy Grannum has been recognized as one of The Network Journal’s 25 Influential Black Women in Business. She will be honored at an award ceremony in New York City in March 2019. Honorees were selected for their professional accomplishments and dedication to their communities.
Co-chair of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Team, Sandy focuses her practice on securities, broker-dealer arbitration, mediation, litigation and regulatory defense. She is well-regarded for her representation of banks, brokerage firms, clearinghouses, investment advisers, insurance companies and other financial services entities, and related individuals in arbitrations before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the American Arbitration Association and Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services; in fact, she has tried more than 60 FINRA arbitrations. When FINRA decided to evaluate its securities dispute resolution forum, Sandy was one of 13 individuals selected for the Dispute Resolution Task Force, which suggested improvements for the transparency, impartiality and efficiency of the forum.
Outside of the professional arena, Sandy has been a staunch advocate for NOAH NY, a not-for-profit organization providing underserved communities in Haiti with free medical care. The organization recognized Sandy’s efforts with the the NOAH NY Distinguished Service Award for her part in the growth and development of NOAH-NY and her accomplishments in advocating for the disadvantaged. Sandy was also recognized by the New York State Bar Association with its 2019 Kay Crawford Murray Award, which honors women in the profession who recognize the value of diversity in the legal profession and have dedicated their time to advancing the professional development of women attorneys.Related Professionals
