Fred Reish Quoted in ThinkAdvisor and Barron’s on Acosta’s Plan to Halt Fiduciary Rule

Los Angeles partner Fred Reish was quoted in two articles on Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta’s plans to delay the fiduciary rule. In ThinkAdvisor’s “Killing Fiduciary Rule Seen as New DOL Chief’s Top Priority,” Fred said, “Our sense is that he [Acosta] is still looking for a ‘solution’ that could be implemented in final form before June 9. He seems to want an answer that cannot be challenged successfully in court. But, we think he is still looking for that answer.”

A Barron’s article titled, “Halting Rule Called DOL Chief’s Top Priority” notes that the National Association for Plan Advisors launched a grassroots campaign to appeal directly to Acosta and the Trump administration to stop the rule from taking effect on June 9.
