Janet Fries Highlights Drinker Biddle’s Go Green Efforts in Washington Lawyer Magazine

Washington, D.C., of counsel Janet Fries was featured in a recent issue of Washington Lawyer. Janet responded to a column that proposed the question, “What Steps Has Your Firm Taken to Go Green?” In her response, Janet highlighted the Washington, D.C., office’s environmental and economic sustainability.

Drinker Biddle’s D.C. office promotes environmentally and economically sustainable practices. Our Green Team has held contests to reduce energy consumption and waste, replaced bottled water with tap, and shifted from 10 percent to 50 percent recycled-content paper. We have also held e-waste and clothing drives that have led to recycling or donation of nearly a ton of e-waste and hundreds of clothing items. To raise awareness of environmental challenges and promote continued progress, we have annual Earth Day celebrations.
