Drinker Biddle Elects Eight New Partners

PHILADELPHIA – Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP has elected eight new partners of the firm. The new partners reside in six different offices and span five of the firm’s practices.

“Our new partners have demonstrated a steadfast commitment to serving our firm and our clients,” said Drinker Biddle Chairman and CEO Andrew C. Kassner. “We welcome them to the partnership and look forward to celebrating their future success.”

Below are brief biographies of the new partners:

Heather B. Abrigo is a member of the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Group and is based out of the Los Angeles office. She assists clients in all aspects of employee benefits, particularly with plan committees to fulfill their fiduciary duties. Heather also works with public sector employers on navigating their retirement plan issues, as well as their retiree health plans.

Luc Attlan is a member of the Corporate Group and is based out of the Chicago office. He concentrates his practice on international corporate transactions and counseling. Luc advises a broad range of clients, ranging from small businesses to multinational Fortune 50 corporations. He also works with foreign companies seeking to do business in the U.S., as well as U.S. companies in need of assistance with their foreign operations.

Jillian L. Bosmann is a member of the Investment Management Group and is based out of the Philadelphia office. She advises investment advisers on regulatory, compliance and corporate matters. Jill assists funds and their advisers with developing a wide variety of investment products, including mutual funds and mutual fund complexes, closed-end funds, continuously offered closed-end funds, exchange-traded funds, business development companies, funds serving as the underlying investment vehicle for variable insurance products, and private funds.

Bradford P. Campbell is a member of the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Group and is based out of the Washington D.C., office. He provides employee benefits advice to financial service providers and plan sponsors, particularly in relation to ERISA Title I issues, including fiduciary conduct and prohibited transactions. Brad is the former Assistant Secretary of Labor for Employee Benefits and former head of the Employee Benefits Security Administration.

Michael R. Halsband is a member of the Corporate Group and is based out of the New York City office. He has more than 25 years of leadership experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry, including investment banking, capital markets advisory and transaction. Michael’s transactional experience includes work on mergers and acquisitions, complex structured reinsurance transactions, insurance-linked securities (ILS), sidecar and cat convergence fund formation and management, and distressed portfolio run-off administration and strategies.

Parimah Hassouri is a member of the Corporate Group and is based out of the New York City office. She represents clients operating in the life, property and casualty, financial guaranty, mortgage guaranty, and title insurance industries. Parimah assists clients with regulatory filings associated with mergers, acquisitions and other changes in corporate structure, including mutual holding company conversions and demutualizations. She also assists with the formation and licensing of insurance companies and routinely assists clients with corporate governance and compliance issues.

Erin E. McCracken is a member of the Litigation Group and is based out of the Los Angeles office. She works on complex commercial litigation matters, including in the entertainment industry. Erin has extensive experience in the defense of complex class action matters, and in a wide array of real property matters and land use development law.

Joseph J. Whitney is a member of the Real Estate Group and is based out of the Florham Park office. He concentrates his practice on commercial real estate transactions, including leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, joint venture transactions, financings and land use. Joseph represents landlords and tenants in commercial, industrial, retail and ground lease transactions, as well as sellers and buyers in a broad range of acquisitions and dispositions, including office, industrial, retail, farmland, and redevelopment areas.
