Faegre Baker Daniels Promotes 8 Legal and Consulting Professionals

Faegre Baker Daniels has promoted six associates to counsel, and FaegreBD Consulting has promoted two consultants to principal.

This announcement follows the promotion of 22 associates and counsel to the firm’s partnership, effective Jan. 1. Promoted professionals are listed alphabetically by office:

Denver

Robert O'Loughlin, counsel, is a member of the firm's intellectual property team. In his practice, Bob collaborates with clients to navigate intellectual property opportunities and risks and to achieve their objectives regarding innovation, commercialization and competition.

Des Moines

Angela Morales, counsel, is a member of the firm's business litigation group. She specializes in financial services litigation, appellate litigation and employment litigation.

Fort Wayne, Ind.

Bob Kistler, counsel, focuses his practice in the area of employee benefits and Employment Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) litigation. He advises employers, plan administrators and service providers on plan design and administration, fiduciary responsibilities, plan compliance, and plan corrections.

Amy Steketee-Fox, counsel, concentrates her practice in counseling and defending both public and private employers in all areas of labor and employment law. She has defended employers in federal and state courts and before the EEOC and other administrative agencies regarding issues under Title VII and other EEO statutes, the Family & Medical Leave Act, wage and hour claims, wrongful termination, and unemployment matters.

London

Victoria Fitzgerald, counsel, serves as counsel in the labor and employment group in FaegreBD’s London office. She practices English law and advises on fair recruiting procedures, employment relationships, contracts of employment, consultancy agreements, employment policies and procedures, and more.

Minneapolis

Sonnie Elliott, principal, has been a member of the firm’s government relations team for more than a decade, representing businesses, education, nonprofit organizations, and trade and professional associations before the Minnesota Legislature, state agencies and local units of government.

Laura Johnson, counsel, is a member of the firm's intellectual property group. Her practice focuses on patent and other complex intellectual property litigation. Drawing on deep knowledge of court proceedings and judicial preferences gained during her nine-year tenure as a clerk in Minnesota's U.S. District Court, Laura partners with litigation teams to develop effective trial and motion practice strategies.

Washington, D.C.

Libby Baney is a principal in the health and biosciences group of FaegreBD Consulting in Washington, D.C. Much of her work relates to the intersection of Internet, technology and health policy issues including internet pharmacies, telemedicine, pharmaceutical supply chain security, counterfeit medicines and more. She is also the founding Executive Director of the Alliance for Safe Online Pharmacies (ASOP), a global nonprofit based in Washington, D.C.
